HAMMOCK DUNES CLUB
Property owners at Hammock Dunes have the option of joining Hammock Dunes Club. The Club is a separate non-profit corporation (independent of the Hammock Dunes Owners' Association) that is managed by its own nine-member board of governors. The Club has been named both a Distinguished Emerald Club of the World and a Platinum Club of America, awards representing the highest level of recognition a private club can receive. Its impressive array of amenities includes two Audubon-certified golf courses (the Links and the Creek); a resort style swimming pool and state-of-the-art fitness center; beachside croquet courts; tennis, bocce, and pickleball courts; and an oceanfront clubhouse with exceptional dining. The $7M clubhouse renovation was completed in Spring 2019.
The Club's Links Course, designed by Tom Fazio, meanders through the community and has three holes on the ocean. In 2016, in collaboration with the USGA's Turf Advisory Service and the Fazio Golf Design Group, the tees, greens, and bunkers were fully renovated and course layout improvements were made. In anticipation of this project, a new computer-controlled, state-of-the-art irrigation system was installed in 2014.
The Creek Course was designed by Rees Jones and is located on the mainland approximately seven miles from the Links Course. It was built on 680 acres of pristine forest and marshland and has its own clubhouse. With no homes or condominiums on the property, it offers sweeping vistas and a quiet, serene environment for golf. In 2018, with assistance from the Rees Jones Design Group and Mr. Jones, the Creek bunkers were renovated using the Better Billy Bunker System.
